Meet Our Founder

For more than 25 years, Kelvin L. Thompson has been a powerful voice of leadership, empowerment, and transformation—impacting lives across the U.S. and abroad. In 2002, he launched E.M.P.O.W.E.R. (now Empower 2 Win, Inc.) with one mission: to equip people with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to achieve success in education, business, and life.

Kelvin’s diverse career spans education, business, ministry, and consulting. He has worked as a teacher, intervention specialist, college professor, pastor, and business leader—always with a focus on helping others reach their full potential. His trainings, workshops, and programs have touched thousands of students, educators, professionals, and entrepreneurs, delivering practical solutions with lasting impact.

As the Lead Pastor of Bal Perazim Christian Center in Kannapolis, NC, Kelvin has guided countless individuals to overcome challenges and live out their God-given purpose. In higher education, he has served as a Professor of Business Administration, Assistant Director of Academic Advising, and Director of the Single Stop program at one of the Southeast’s largest community colleges. His leadership has improved student success, expanded access to resources, and built stronger community partnerships.

Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Management & Leadership, Kelvin brings both academic excellence and real-world experience to everything he does.
